We all have heard about Healthy Snack bars, Protein bars, Granola Bars but have you all tried making one?? These are amazing source of Vitamin E, iron, dietary fibers, magnesium and healthy carbohydrates. The best part about this is you can eat it on the go and feel satiated. You, your child, your entire family can binge on this. Don’t take our word, try it yourself!


Vanilla syrup
Cinnamon powder
Almonds (roughly chopped)
Peanuts (roughly chopped)
Walnuts (roughly chopped)
Cashew Nuts (roughly chopped)
Flax seeds
Watermelon seeds


  • Dry roast rolled oats and keep aside.
  • Melt jaggery in a pan on slow flame so that it doesn’t burn.
  • Add honey and vanilla syrup. Keep stirring on slow flame.
  • Add in all the roasted oats and give a nice mix.
  • Add in all the chopped dry fruits and seeds.
  • Fold it all in.
  • Sprinkle some ground cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  • You can now transfer this to a tray on a parchment paper, cut rectangle bars and let it cool.
  • You can also make laddoos or simply store it in a mason jar like a desi granola chivda.

PS: You can also add raisins or sun dried berries for that extra flavor and to make it more chewy.
